The group of maritime entrepreneurs in the Urk area is growing. Since Saturday 28 February 2009, these entrepreneurs have joined forces in the BGN with the following objectives:

• to combine purchasing power in order to achieve commercial advantages;
• to create a consultative body;
• members bear no liability;
• to improve the provision of information;
• representing their interests;
• increasing mutual involvement.
